Pat Bennier has been a staff instructor for Survival School: Church Leadership Training for 11 years and serves as Executive Director.  She is an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA and worked for 8 years as the Director of Program Management for Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.  She has worked for many years in the non-profit sector in training and leadership development and 20 years in commercial and residential construction management.

Mia Crosthwaite is a staff instructor with Survival School: Church Leadership Training.  She serves as Coordinator of Parish Life & Faith Formation for the Diocese of Boise.  A native of Idaho, she holds a B.S. in Health Studies from Boise State University and a Masters in Pastoral Studies from Loyola University, New Orleans.  Mia is author of Go and Do Likewise, Catholic Social Teaching in Action, published by Twenty Third Publications along with numerous articles at the national and regional level, including “The Immigration Debate: Examining the Roots of our Angry Rhetoric,” published in Liguorian and “What to Give Up?  Seven Ways for the Parish to Live More Justly,” published in Today’s Parish Minister.  She is active in numerous social justice causes including Idahoans for Alternatives to the Death Penalty and the Boise Catholic Worker.  Mia and her husband live the daily mystery of parenting to their five children.

Mary Fogelson is a staff instructor with Survival School: Church Leadership Training.  She presently is Director of Parish Faith Formation at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Scottsdale, AZ.  A Survival School staff member for the past 6 years, she has 22 years of professional parish leadership and experience in the areas of Youth Ministry, Liturgy, Ministry of Care, Elementary Religious Education, Intergenerational Faith Formation, RCIA and Adult Formation.
Nancy Hardy, nancy@churchleadershiptraining.org
Nancy Hardy is a staff instructor with Survival School: Church Leadership Training.  She is Director of Parish Faith Formation for the Diocese of Orange.  She has 35 years of prior parish experience as a Youth Minister, Director of Religious Education, and Pastoral Associate in Michigan, Arizona, and California.  Nancy has an MTS from St. John Seminary, Plymouth, MI, a Diploma in Spirituality from the Jesuit School of Theology in Toronto, and a MA in Guidance and Counseling from Siena Heights College, in Michigan.

Rick Hardy has been a member of the Survival School faculty since 2001 and current serves as Board Chair.  He is a graduate student at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in the Master's of Pastoral Theology program.  His B.S. is in Applied Management.  He has served as director of worship and music for parishes in Michigan, Arizona, and California, currently serving at Our Lady of Fatima in San Clemente.  He is a member of the Diocese of Orange Music Advisory Board.  He is in demand as a worskhop presenter and facilitator in the areas of liturgy, music, and leadership issues.

Tricia Hoyt is a lead instructor with Survival School: Church Leadership Training. She is employed as Director of the Office of Peace and Justice and adjunct faculty member at Kino Institute, in the Diocese of Phoenix, Arizona. A native of Limerick, Ireland and graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, she holds a M.A. in Adult Christian Community Development from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, has completed a variety of M.A. (Biblical Studies) at Fuller Theological Seminary Southwest, and is currently beginning her doctoral studies through Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. Tricia is co-author of MOMS: Developing a Ministry, published by Resource Publications, a manual for the development of leadership in women based on their involvement in a spiritual support group known as Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS). The program is active in churches nationwide. She has completed an adaptation of the material for Spanish language participants entitled De Madre a Madre, in review for  publication.
